We are delighted to announce that submissions are now open for feature films, short films, documentaries, music videos, screenplays, photography, web series and television series, as well as special categories for AI-generated films, VR experiences, games and 360° videos, celebrating the latest innovations in visual storytelling.
The event will take place at UCI Luxe Marcon, a modern cinema complex located in the Venice area, offering a premium setting for an international film festival. The venue features state-of-the-art screening facilities, high-quality digital projection, immersive sound and comfortable premium seating, creating an outstanding cinematic experience for both filmmakers and audiences. With its modern facilities and convenient location near Venice, UCI Luxe Marcon provides a professional and elegant environment for celebrating independent cinema and bringing filmmakers and film industry professionals together.
Please note that Venice Film Awards is an independent film festival. It is not affiliated with, connected to, endorsed by or otherwise associated with the Venice International Film Festival (La Biennale di Venezia) in any way. These are two completely separate festivals and organizations.
Invited filmmakers attending the festival can look forward to red-carpet photography, complimentary drinks, an unforgettable atmosphere, a professional host and hostesses, networking parties and many other opportunities to meet fellow filmmakers and film industry professionals.

Venice Film Awards is represented by an international team of filmmakers and film industry professionals with experience in independent cinema, festival programming, screenwriting, production and television. Roxana Stroe, a graduate of UNATC Bucharest and the National Film and Television School in the UK, directed the short film A Night in Tokoriki, which won the Generation 14+ Jury Prize at the Berlinale and screened at more than 100 festivals worldwide.
Emily Joshua is an award-winning British screenwriter and filmmaker. Her work includes the internationally recognized television project Foxton Hall, which won the Television Script Award at the London Director Talents Awards. Kotaro Sakai, a graduate of Osaka University of Arts, has worked as an assistant director with filmmakers including Takashi Yamazaki and Takahiro Miki. His short film Masumi's Sky won Best Director – Short Film at the Los Angeles Short Film Award, among many other achievements.
Together, the team brings diverse international experience and cinematic perspectives, united by a shared commitment to discovering and supporting emerging filmmakers and independent cinema from around the world.
